Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
— Matthew 19:14
Throughout the year various religious activities are planned for the school community, and students, staff, and faculty attend. Parents are encouraged to be present as well, however, work schedules do not allow for many to attend. The religious and spiritual experiences include, but are not limited to the following:
Each classroom has a special prayer corner, which features the Word and has other appropriate symbols, which create a sense of prayer within the context of the classroom. The classes also keep the crucifix, pictures of Mary, the saints and other religious symbols visible and well-known in the class.
The student body and faculty begin the school day by gathering in the school playground. Parents and guardians are welcome, and many parents take the opportunity to attend the assemblies. The assembly begins with the Student Council leading pryaer, a “good morning” with a positive reflection for the day given by a Sister (a spiritual message often based on the Student Learning Expectations, according to the Salesian tradition of reason, religion, and loving kindness.)
Catholic vision is clearly expressed consistently in letters on SchoolSpeak, in scriptural readings and questions to inspire and reflect the Catholic faith formation of the faculty, staff, students, and parents.
